A summer garden in the Washington area.
Visiting a friend's garden and cutting a few flowers made me start drawing, again.
Her red day lilies were so bright I had to draw one.
Drawing the intensity of the red with colored pencils in these lilies was difficult.
I ended my drawings for the week with this paler lily.
I know I will go back to Dominie's garden again,
to beg for and cut a few more blossoms to draw
as she has many beautiful and varied lilies
as well as other colorful blossoms.
