Plumbing or?

While waiting for my sewing machine to be cleaned and refreshed?..........I decided to finish some drawings I had started, temporarily titled Plumbing.


When we were in San Diego I found these groups of plumbing fixtures near the Visions Gallery and other buildings. These are on an old Navy Base that has been completely changed since the Navy left. Every building had a similar group of fixtures in these bright colors outside, so they were hard to miss.





While in my photographer's studio (PRS Ass.in Kensington, MD) I noticed this plumbing behind a door. These drawings  are created with colored pencil on a heavy watercolor paper.













 This is also in the PRS Studio and part of the plumbing in the previous drawing. I do not know why subjects of this kind appeal to me, except I do think they make unusual subjects for the still-life genre.

If anyone can think of a title for this work better than Plumbing, I would appreciate it. I've been told Plumbing brings up images of sinks and toilets.......however, they, too, may make unusual subjects.

    Plumbing repairs are ideally done during the summer when it is easy to get to the pipes. It should be done on a routine basis so that there would be less chances of disaster happening.

    I would suggest Water Pipes or Water Mains. The section that you drew in my studio is where the sprinkler system is hooked in and diverted from the regular water supply. Based on the similar color patterns, the other image may be part of the sprinkler system as well. Calling the group 'Sprinkler' or 'Sprinkler System' might be fun, since sprinkler sounds rather delicate and the pipes look so industrial.

    This post is an example of creativity and artwork. Some good examples of machinery which are used in plumbing work are used as painting on canvas. This represent out of the box thinking of the author.

    Those are beautiful work of Art.I suggest Plomeria for your title, it's a latin word for plumbing.

    It's great piece of work which is about peace of mind too. Though people face plumbing work as a nightmare sometime but your work resembling nice dream.
